24 years in the making
It started with a magazine
The first site went live — etydskrif.co.za, an online magazine, possibly before South Africa was quite ready for one. But it sparked something.
Going deeper
Formal training in PHP and MySQL turned working knowledge into a real understanding of what happens under the hood.
The WordPress years
Open source opened the door, and WordPress became the tool of choice. The work moved upmarket — large companies, bigger builds.
Destinos is born
When circumstances changed, the work carried on under a new name: Destinos.dev. Built for resilience, designed to run from anywhere in the world.
Going global
Clients in South Africa, Portugal, the US, New Zealand and the UK. Next stop: a full-time European base in Portugal.
A small, senior team
Small and senior, by design. You deal with the people doing the work — no account managers, no call centre queue.
Design & development
The people who actually build the thing: custom WordPress platforms, e-commerce, booking systems, member portals and Next.js applications. You deal with them directly, not with an account manager relaying messages.
Support
Whoever answers when something breaks takes it from the first reply through to the fix — hosting, email, DNS, the site that worked perfectly yesterday. We would rather find what actually caused it than close the ticket quickly.
